Easy Updated Christmas Wreath
As I put up my Christmas decorations this year, I was struck a bit by my door wreath. I've always loved the color and the elements, but this year, it looked a little sad and bare to me. Not very Christmas-y.
So I decided to spruce it up a bit when I was at Michael's this week and they had all their Christmas products on sale for 70% off. Score. I bought seven of these wreath picks for $1.50 each (originally $4.99 each):
Then I went to work, weaving them into my old wreath. I had planned to hot glue them in place, but it turned out that I got the picks to stay by just securing them behind the existing vines and stems. It took some finagling, but I finally got my wreath together.
Gorgeous, if I do say so myself (and I do). Let's compare...
So much better...
My front door is a whole lot happier. All told, I spent $10.48 to update my old wreath. A good buy for sure.
I'm so happy I didn't just buy a new wreath. I love my updated version.
Have you rejuvenated any of your dated Christmas decor items? I would love to see. Please share it here...
