Kiwi Lane DT Doodles #8

Good morning all! I'm back today with a layout for Kiwi Lane's DT Doodles sketch #8. It's a great two-page layout with lots of possibilities:

And here's what I created:

I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut out the Mt. Rushmore, using this SVG file. I like that it's kind of modern, mixed with the fun papers on the layout. I used papers and embellishments from the Simple Stories Urban Traveler collection and the Basic Grey Wander collection to create the paper layers and accents. So fun!

New Card Sketches at Kiwi Lane Designs

So fun! I created a card for each sketch. Here's how they turned out:

These cards came together so quick and easy. I used the Fun Day collection from My Mind's Eye to create these cards. I also added in the Party Day stamp set from Crate Paper. And I used these Kiwi Lane templates:

Kiwi Lane DT Doodles #6

It's time for another awesome sketch from Kiwi Lane -- my favorite days of the month! And when you link up your creation based on the sketch, you'll be entered to win a Kiwi Lane gift card.

I have been dying to use the School Spirit collection from Crate Paper (it's been in my stash forever!), so I pulled it out to showcase lots of photos from my boys' year in 2nd grade. I like to have a single layout in our family album for each school year since each of my boys' has their own school album. So the single layout in our family album just shows off a few random moments from that year. In addition to the papers and embellishments from Crate Paper, I used these Kiwi Lane templates:

• Aspen Court 2A, 2B, 3A, 3B
• Strips 3", 1", 1/2"
• Accents 6
• Tiny Accents 6T
• Tiny Floral 1T, 2T
• Sweetheart 1
• Tiny Sweetheart 1T

I then finished the page off with cork Thickers and a journaling spot that I edged with a notebook border punch.

Kiwi Lane DT Doodles #4

Isn't it super fun? You know I love bright colors -- and the Surprise collection by Bo Bunny certainly fits the bill. Kiwi Lane DT Doodles Week 47

It's Monday -- that means time for a new sketch from Kiwi Lane Designs!

I love two-page sketches (okay, I love all sketches) and this one is great for getting a bunch of photos on the page. Here's my interpretation of the sketch:

We were lucky enough to have a glorious trip to the Rocky Mountain National Park with our friends earlier this summer, and I've been dying to get these photos onto a page. This sketch was great for that. I used the Campy Trails collection from American Crafts for the paper and embellishments, plus Mercantile Thickers and little alpha stickers from BoBunny Press. For the border strips, I used the Paisley Place templates (2A, 2B, 3A, and 3B) plus the Strips templates (1" and 1/2").

Kiwi Lane DT Doodles Week 46

Monday is here, and it's time for another fantastic Kiwi Lane DT Doodles sketch.

I love that it's a one-page sketch this week. I mostly do two-page layouts, but sometimes I only have a few good photos to showcase, so a one-pager is perfect.

Here's what I did with the sketch...

This is the first layout I've created with my December kit. I'm loving these colors for Christmas -- very vintage-y. The Kiwi Lane templates I used:

• Christmas 1
• Holiday 1T and 7T
• Paisley Place 1B and 3B
• Cascade Trails 1A, 1B, and 3A

KiwI Lane DT Doodles Week 44

It's Monday - time for another awesome sketch from Kiwi Lane. :) I have been getting so many layouts created with these sketches. I love how quickly they come together when the pieces are laid out for you. If you haven't used one of Kiwi Lane's sketches yet, you need to give it a try!

Here's the sketch for this week:

And here's my interpretation:

For this layout, I pulled out a bunch of random photos of my boys from various times, showing them being brothers and being together. I love layouts like this - that show how things change over time. And it's a great way to use up those category drawer photos. It gives them lots of meaning, to see them together in one place.

The Kiwi Lane templates I used:

• Celebrate 4 (pinwheel)
• Aspen Court borders 3A and 3B
• Strips 1" and 1/2"

For this layout, I used the All About a Boy collection from Echo Park. It is, hands down, my FAVORITE boy collection right now. I have created several other layouts with this collection that I'll be sharing soon. The colors are fun and bright and just slightly distressed. I love it! I added in some border stickers from Ki Memories, little number stickers from Lily Bee Designs, and American Crafts Thickers in Typo. 

I love this layout! I know I say that every time but I guess that's the whole point of why we do this. Seeing how my boys have changed over the years is amazing and sad at the same time. :)

I challenge you to create a layout bringing photos from different times together on one layout. And use the Kiwi Lane sketch to do it! I'd love to see what you create...
