Back to School Quick Tip

Do you have a million of these cluttering up your junk drawer?

School has been in session for 2 weeks here in Nebraska - and I imagine for most everyone else too. And with the start of the new year, it's time once again to clip and collect Box Tops.

I used to have a crazy mess of Box Tops scattered around my junk drawer - but no longer! Now, I keep a little basket and a pair of scissors in my junk drawer to make clipping and collecting those Box Tops super easy.

And when it's time to turn them in - i.e. the basket is full or the school has asked us to send them in - I can put them in a baggie and send them in one of the boys' backpacks.

Do you have a quick tip for back to school organization? I'd love to hear it...

  1. Brilliant. Ours are sitting on top of the microwave in a pile and it annoys me. We save them for a friend. I will be looking for something to put them in!! Thanks for the inspiration!

  2. I have a snack size zip lock bag that I keep all the box tops in. Once it's full it gets sent to school.

One thing that I did last year was to get some containers for the learning store to put by the boys backpacks. This is where we keep library books, papers or anything that needs to be put in the backpacks the next day. It helps keep their school items a little more organized.

  3. Jen - you are welcome!

Monica - the containers are a great idea. I have hooks by the door where they come in for their backpacks and jackets where we keep all their school stuff corralled too.

  4. Way to get organized! Visiting from the Saturday Share Fest at SITS & your new follower :)My little one is only 18m, so no back-to-school routines for us yet. Love your blog, I'm a major scrapbooker too--getting ready to post on how I make them next week :)
