Hello everyone! I'm back today with a new layout to share based on the Sketch N Scrap sketch challenge #63 -- the third layout sketch for August. I love creating with new sketches -- and this one really sparked my creativity. :)
Each month, Sketch N Scrap offers three layout sketches and two card sketches to
challenge your creativity. And if you link up your creation at their
site, you'll be entered to win an awesome prize package -- a different
prize each month.
Here's sketch #63:
And here's my layout based on the sketch:
I just love it! These are vacation photos from last summer and I wish we could get back to this beautiful beach -- or any beach! For now, I'll have to be satisfied with scrapbooking the photos instead. :)
I used the Paradise Beach paper collection by Echo Park to create this layout. Such a fun, summery collection! I used Sprinklers from October Afternoon in Comet Tail to mist the border strip behind the title, and also used the Relax die set by Quickutz from forever ago to create the little embellishments. They turned out so cute! I used the alpha stickers from the Paradise Beach collection for the title, but I also die cut the SUN letters from craft foam (from Michael's, in a multi-pack) using the Mary Jane lowercase alpha die set by Quickutz. I added in a few shaped paperclips from Freckled Fawn and a flair button too.
Love that crab!! Just too cute. So that's my layout for this sketch. And now, head on over to
Sketch N Scrap to see what the other talented designers created with this
sketch...
Be sure to play along with the sketch challenge this month (and every
month!) at Sketch N Scrap. Don't forget -- if you link up your creation
at Sketch N Scrap, you'll be entered to win a great prize giveaway -- a new prize each month.
Until next time,
Stay crafty!
Lissa :)
