Hello everyone! I have a new project up at Miss Kate Cuttables today that is just a little bit different from my normal monthly projects -- it's a fun bulletin board for our school lobby.
Here's a sneak peek:
I used some adorable cut file sets from Miss Kate Cuttables, lots of cardstock, and of course, my favorite Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Frayed Burlap.
And now, you'll have to head over to the Miss Kate Cuttables blog to see my project. Let me know what you think!
Until next time -- stay crafty,
Lissa :)

Sketch N Scrap Challenge #63
Hello everyone! I'm back today with a new layout to share based on the Sketch N Scrap sketch challenge #63 -- the third layout sketch for August. I love creating with new sketches -- and this one really sparked my creativity. :)
Each month, Sketch N Scrap offers three layout sketches and two card sketches to challenge your creativity. And if you link up your creation at their site, you'll be entered to win an awesome prize package -- a different prize each month.
Here's sketch #63:
And here's my layout based on the sketch:
I just love it! These are vacation photos from last summer and I wish we could get back to this beautiful beach -- or any beach! For now, I'll have to be satisfied with scrapbooking the photos instead. :)
I used the Paradise Beach paper collection by Echo Park to create this layout. Such a fun, summery collection! I used Sprinklers from October Afternoon in Comet Tail to mist the border strip behind the title, and also used the Relax die set by Quickutz from forever ago to create the little embellishments. They turned out so cute! I used the alpha stickers from the Paradise Beach collection for the title, but I also die cut the SUN letters from craft foam (from Michael's, in a multi-pack) using the Mary Jane lowercase alpha die set by Quickutz. I added in a few shaped paperclips from Freckled Fawn and a flair button too.
Love that crab!! Just too cute. So that's my layout for this sketch. And now, head on over to Sketch N Scrap to see what the other talented designers created with this sketch...
Be sure to play along with the sketch challenge this month (and every month!) at Sketch N Scrap. Don't forget -- if you link up your creation at Sketch N Scrap, you'll be entered to win a great prize giveaway -- a new prize each month.
Until next time,
Stay crafty!

Sketch N Scrap Inspired By Challenge #8
Good morning! I can't believe summer is nearly over. In just a few days, my boys go back to school. This summer definitely flew by. But I do love that today, there's a new sketch up at Sketch N Scrap for the Inspired By sketch challenge.
Here's the sketch:
And here's the layout I created based on the sketch:
Oh gosh, I just love this photo! My babies just turned 11 a few weeks ago, so this really takes me back to those early days. I used the Party Animals collection by Kaisercraft. Love the soft colors in this collection! I added in a few chipboard stars by Studio Calico and American Crafts Thickers in Text.
I love how this turned out. So sweet! And now, head on over to Sketch N Scrap to see what the other talented designers created with this sketch...

Sketch N Scrap Challenge #62
Where did this summer go? It's already time for the first sketch of August from Sketch N Scrap. I love these sketches, and this first sketch of the month is no exception.
Each month, Sketch N Scrap offers three layout sketches and two card sketches to challenge your creativity. And if you link up your creation at their site, you'll be entered to win an awesome prize package -- a different prize each month.
Here's sketch #62:
I love the large photo on this sketch! Here's the layout I created based on the sketch:
I love that I was able to get a very theme-y layout created so quickly and with such a fun look. We love Legos at our house, so this trip to the Kansas City Legoland Discovery Center was a fun one for my boys.
I used the Lego paper collection from Creative Imaginations -- so bright and colorful. I don't know that this collection is available any longer, but you can find some other Lego-themed collections at Scrapbook.com that would also work. I used the Dear Lizzy Fantastic Thickers in white for the date at the bottom.
So that's my layout for this sketch. As always, it was a fun project to put together. And now, head on over to Sketch N Scrap to see what the other talented designers created with this sketch...
