Hello, crafty friends! I just joined the The ScrapRoom for their monthly Flavors of the Month kit, and I am in love with having these collections to play with. It's a great way to get a bit of each of the newest collections these fabulous scrapbooking companies are coming out with!
For my first project with this month's ScrapRoom Flavors of the Month kit, I used the La La Love collection from Crate Paper to create this layout based on the February JumpStart Sketch posted on the ScrapRoom blog...
I love the colors in this collection! So fun and a little non-traditional for a love theme. You can see the sketch and the challenge details right here on the ScrapRoom blog... Have a happy Friday!

Creating with Chalk Couture
Hello friends! Today I'm sharing a few projects I've created with Chalk Couture. I've been having so much fun finding fun surfaces to chalk onto -- they are everywhere! And the design choices are so fun. The best part -- once you want to change up your design, you can wash it off and start again...
It's fast and easy to create these designs too! Just apply the transfer to your surface, then apply a thin layer of Chalk Paste, remove the excess, then remove your transfer. Once it's dry, it's ready to display.
I recommend waxing your surface first to make sure your chalk doesn't soak in too much and to make it easier to remove the Chalk Paste later. Just apply furniture wax with a lint-free cloth or brush, then wipe/buff the excess away. Let it dry for 24 hours, and you're set to go.
I'll be sharing more projects soon -- you can learn more about Chalk Couture at my website too: https://www.chalkcouture.com/lissa/
Have a fabulously creative day!

Sketch N Scrap Challenge #71
It's time for another sketch for December from Sketch N Scrap! I loved working with this sketch -- although I'm so sad to say it is my last sketch layout to create for Sketch N Scrap. This month marks the last month of my term as a member of their design team. I've had so much fun this year working with them! I will miss it.
Here's the sketch:
And here's the layout I created based on the sketch:
To create this layout, I used the Dear Santa collection by Echo Park / Photo Freedom. Such a fun collection with great colors! I layered everything together, turning the horizontal border into a vertical one and then adding in an extra photo. The glittered snowflakes are from Michael's Recollections.
So fun! Love how it turned out. And now, head on over to Sketch N Scrap to see what the other talented designers created with this sketch...
Be sure to play along with the sketch challenge this month (and every month!) at Sketch N Scrap. Don't forget -- if you link up your creation at Sketch N Scrap, you'll be entered to win a great prize giveaway -- a new prize each month.
Until next time,
Stay crafty!

Sketch N Scrap Inspired By Sketch for December
Good morning! This month is flying by -- yikes! But I do
love that today, there's a new sketch up at Sketch N Scrap for the Inspired By sketch challenge.
Here's the sketch:
And here's the layout I created based on the sketch:
How amazing is this photo? LOL. That's me -- the little girl on the right. Totally 80s!
I created this layout using mostly TPC Studios papers. Fun and wintery! I then added in the woodgrain washi tape, white glitter Thickers, and those lovely snowflakes from Jolee's Boutique. Beautiful!
I love how this turned out. Wintery and retro! And now, head on over to Sketch N Scrap to see what the other talented designers created with this sketch...

Sketch N Scrap Challenge #70
Good morning! I'm excited today to be sharing a new layout based on the Sketch N Scrap sketch challenge #70. This is the first sketch challenge for the month of December -- and I was excited to get to scrap Christmas photos!
Here's the sketch:
And here is the layout I created based on the sketch:
I used the Merry & Bright collection by Carta Bella. I've had this collection in my stash for awhile, and it's just adorable with lovely Christmas colors. I used foam dots behind the stickers and the title to give them some dimension from the page, and then added in the mistletoe paper die cuts from my stash.
Just super cute!
So that's my layout for this sketch! And now, head on over to Sketch N Scrap to see what the other talented designers created with this sketch...

Sketch N Scrap Challenge #69
Good morning! Today, I have a new layout to share to go along with the Sketch N Scrap
sketch challenge #69. This is the second sketch challenge for November
-- and I was so excited to use a new collection kit I had just purchased, perfect for fall photos.
Here's the sketch:
And here's my layout based on the sketch:
I love it! I used the Apple Cider collection by October Afternoon, plus a Polaroid frame die from Quikutz. The Apple Cider collection is just adorable, with lots of little puffy stickers that I just love. I inked everything with Tim Holtz Vintage Photo Distress Ink for a warmer look.
So that's my layout for this sketch -- I love it! And now, head on over to Sketch N Scrap to see what the other talented designers created with this sketch...

Sketch N Scrap Challege #68
Hello everyone! We are already at the first of November -- hard to believe! -- but that means that there's a new sketch up today at Sketch N Scrap for sketch challenge #68.
Here's the sketch:
And here is the layout I created based on the sketch:
I love getting these random fun photos scrapped for our family album! These photos are from a few years ago, just a fun night of playing board games. I used papers from the Well Played collection by Carta Bella, along with some cardstock scraps. I used Rootbeer Float Thickers and Doodlebug Designs alpha stickers for the title, then added in star brads and chipboard stars by Maya Road.
So that's my layout for this sketch! And now, head on over to Sketch N Scrap to see what the other talented designers created with this sketch...
